Updates
OA21 service
He is claiming to service old OA21 amps under the link '1984-1991'. This is, of course, a scam.
If you have an old Onix amp and want it serviced DO NOT send it to Adam Worsfold or OA21/Onix. - he will steal from you.
Instead contact Tony Brady via Exposure Hi-Fi.
Onix DNA Evolution
He has, yet again, renamed his flagship amp. It's now called the 'Onix DNA Evolution'.
Don't order one. It won't work. And he will keep your money.
Onix DNA 50
He is also attempting to sell an 'Onix DNA 50' amp as a special one-off.
This will undoubtedly not work, much like the 'DNA Ultimate' he sold me.

The summary
In 2023 Adam Worsfold sold me a hi-fi amplifier for £1,300.
- On arrival the amp didn't work.
- I returned it.
- He kept both my money and the amp.
- Since then he has harassed me continuously.
I spoke to the Police, Action Fraud, Trading Standards and a solicitor. It became clear that Adam Worsfold had stolen from me. I demanded my money back. Adam Worsfold refused.
On the advice of a solicitor, I publicised my experience. Since then, he has continually harassed and abused me online and via email.
In 2026 -- more than 2 years after initial contact -- he is still harassing me and attempting to intimidate me into silence.
A detailed account of events follows — I'm making this public as a warning to others.
Legal notice
Truth
I will testify in any UK court that everything stated here is the truth as far as I know it. And I have evidence to prove it.
Honest opinion
All statements are my own personal opinion based on real experience.
Public interest
The intention behind publishing my experience is as a warning to others. I consider this to be in the public interest.
Absence of malice
No malice is intended — as evidenced by the lack of abuse or insult.
re. Copyright
Under UK law:
- you cannot copyright your own name;
- you cannot copyright your own abusive correspondence.
Therefore any claims of copyright infringement against me are baseless, and any invoices for copyright infringement fees are rejected. They serve no purpose other than to intimidate.
Harassment
Publishing a truthful account of continued abuse by a routine abuser is not harassment. It is a public service.
Appeal for information
Adam Worsfold is a professional scammer.
He has defrauded at least 20 others in recent years. He escapes prosecution by intimidating his victims into silence. But not for much longer. Watch this space.

The deal
In 2023 I contacted OA21.com about servicing an old Onix OA21 amplifier which I bought new in the early 1990s. I was subsequently called by Adam Worsfold ('CTO' of OA21 Ltd) and, over 2 or 3 phone calls, was upsold a new "DNA Ultimate" amplifier. He claimed it to be the "best amplifier ever made" and that he could do me a "special deal".
This deal comprised two payments totalling £1,300 and - assuming I was happy with the new Ultimate - my old OA21 amplifier in part-exchange.
I was in the middle of a major house move and somewhat distracted. A few emails later I agreed. "What've I got to lose?" I thought. Quite a lot as it turned out.
Far from being the 'best amplifier ever made' the 'DNA Ultimate' simply didn't work - and, when I eventually got Adam Worsfold to accept a return, he just kept the returned amp - and my money.
The payments
Adam Worsfold insisted that the two payments were to be made via bank transfer to two separate Wise money transfer accounts - a month or two apart.
Notably I paid one via my Visa credit card by mistake and Worsfold immediately threw a tantrum, refunded me, and demanded the money again - this time to be sent to a Wise account.
I now know that he didn't want a payment to be made via Visa because he wanted to avoid chargeback.
Worsfold now denies I ever bought anything from him. He also denies that he insisted on a bank transfer via Wise.
To counter both of those lies:
- here is a copy of my invoice — note the date (August 2023), the amount paid (£1,300) and balance due (£0.00). Also note at the bottom the line "This invoice is pre pay only by bank transfer to the account sent in a separate E mail".
- one of the Wise accounts I was asked to pay into.

The DNA Ultimate
The amplifier arrived in February 2024 — without a remote or any 'official' packaging. I was busy unpacking at my new address and dealing with my recently deceased father's probate. I wasn't able to set up and listen to the amplifier until May.
When I did listen to the new DNA Ultimate, it simply didn't work. It distorted on every channel and at all volumes. It sounded terrible — consistently terrible. I was mystified.
I informed Adam Worsfold by email in July 2024. He replied:
It does not sound right to me, I suggest we get it back and I will personally resolve it.
— Adam Worsfold, July 2024
I replaced all cables and inter-connects and sought advice from a hi-fi dealer — but the amp still distorted. It wasn't fit for purpose.
I now know that none of the so-called products listed on the OA21 website actually exist. They're all make-believe.
The return
It then took me until February 2025 to get him to accept the return. When he did reply to emails his sparse communications ranged from excuses for inaction (an ear infection, a dodgy knee) to intermittent rants about social media and those he considered had wronged him.
He never once addressed the fact that his 'ultimate' amplifier didn't work — a strange reaction for the CTO of an amplifier manufacturer regarding their flagship product. Any other CTO/CEO would be apologetic and eager to rectify a fault.
As soon as I had returned the defective amplifier (at my expense to an address near Southampton) he became aggressive and immediately moved the goalposts:
It has come to my attention that you have, spread lies about me on social media and our company. I suggest you call me ASAP .. You will become part of the litigation I am launching against the guy running that account. You are the cause of the problem with your unit ... I suggest you rethink you accusations. (sic)
— Adam Worsfold, February 2025
Apparently — because I had briefly communicated with someone on Facebook about our 'deal' (my buying a DNA Ultimate amp and for how much), AW claimed I was in breach of a 'confidentiality clause' in a contract which never existed. Nonsense.
Needless to say the threatened litigation never materialised.
As it stands I paid Adam Worsfold (OA21 Ltd) £1,300 for 'the best amp ever made' and have nothing to show for it. He stole my money. He is, in my opinion and experience, a thief.

The threats & abuse
As well as stealing from me Adam Worsfold has repeatedly tried to silence me and discredit my experience.
Mad rants
Much of his behaviour, as well as being illegal, is seriously unhinged. Make up your own mind. I received this 3-page rant after he found out I'd messaged someone on Facebook about our 'deal':
Mad rant from Adam Worsfold dated March 2025
— just one example of what you can look forward to receiving, unsolicited, in your inbox if you do business with Adam Worsfold.
Threats
Adam Worsfold has threatened me with litigation, bankruptcy, the seizure of my assets and more.
Example of threats made — from a supposed 'defamation letter' addressed to me from OA21 Ltd in early September 2025:
If we are forced to take legal action and an award of damages is made, we will pursue recovery by way of bankruptcy and eventual seizure of your assets including your home.
— OA21 Ltd, September 2025
Defamation
He has even emailed some of my clients and tried to spread malicious lies about me.

Bogus legal threats
Laughably he thinks he can copyright his own name and his own abusive correspondence. I've received many made-up 'legal' letters threatening me with ongoing fines for publishing his threats.
In December 2025 he claims I owe him a risible £7,000.
These threats have no legal basis whatsoever. Their sole purpose is to intimidate.
Abuse
As for the abuse — apparently I'm (quote) "a Narcissistic Lier & a Mentally sick individual", a penniless troll, a blackmailer, and more (all untrue obviously). I believe his choice of words says much more about him than it does about me.
The threats continue into 2026. In mid-January I received this in my inbox from a Gmail account with the username "uselesstrolls" — yet another Adam Worsfold alter ego:
You thought we were doing nothing ... We were waiting You have given us so much to be able to finish you off its funny Carry on .. Go for it, keep going We know where you live ... This will be fun Ever stood on the tracks facing a speeding train ? This will hit you the same way
1st rule in business know your opponent ...oops you don't
This will be fun to watch
— Adam Worsfold (aka uselesstrolls), January 2026
If that's not a veiled threat, I don't know what is. I am posting it here as a record in case anything should happen to me. The Police are watching him.
The coward
Along with most bullies Adam Worsfold is a coward. He won't testify in court or bring any form of legal action — despite his many threats — because he would lose. He has nothing but bluff and bluster.
He hides behind a registered office service which does not accept mail (the 20-22 Wenlock Road address is used by more than 18,000 active registered companies) and a generic Gmail email address. And that's when he's in the UK — he often isn't.
All the more reason to avoid him.
The myths
Identity crisis
Adam Worsfold hides behind several identities:
- Adam Worsfold: the 'CTO' of OA21 Ltd;
- OA21 Ltd: a registered UK company without verifiable contact details -- it exists on paper only;
- Jason Mattingly: a made-up lackey.
Despite his claims to the contrary they are all the same. I only ever did business and communicated with Adam Worsfold. I have documentation to prove it.
Product range
There is no evidence of the OA21 product range existing anywhere outside the OA21 website.
Offices and staff
There is absolutely no evidence of any OA21 offices — or staff — anywhere; least of all on Wenlock Road, London N1.
The company is worthless, has no offices or staff and makes nothing. What, then, is its purpose?

The lessons
- always check and verify a company's contact details;
- never pay for a product or service by money transfer;
- don't do business with Adam Worsfold — you'll regret it.
